Sonos · Patio, pool & garden

HomeSonosGuide

Outdoor Sonos that still feels like the same house.

Dinner on the patio in the same mood as the kitchen. The yard joins for the evening and goes quiet when you come back inside.

Key Benefits

Seating that stays in the group

A path that actually reaches the table — so dinner does not drop when you step outside.

Levels neighbors can live with

Coverage aimed at people, not windows next door, with rooms you can silence when you come in.

Names anyone can run

Patio, pool, garden labeled clearly — turn dinner on, leave the yard quiet later.

Dinner moves to the patio, and the song comes with it. Kitchen and table stay on one mood — easy to turn down when people talk, easy to leave when the evening moves back inside. The pool can stay softer. The garden can stay off. That is outdoor Sonos that still feels like the same house.

Permanent patio sound is weather-rated speakers under the eaves, driven by a Sonos Amp that stays indoors in a dry place — the Amp is not weatherproof. A Move is for the unplanned hour you carry out and bring back in.

Why the patio falls off

People usually blame the speakers. More often it is distance, walls, and stone between the house and the table. A strong kitchen signal does not mean the pool edge or the far garden can stay with the group. A network that walls the yard off does the same thing — the seating looks connected; the players cannot see the rest of the house.

What HomeIQ does

We design outdoor rooms around how you sit. Patio dining wants even coverage near the table at conversation level. The pool is often its own volume. A garden or entry court joins only when guests arrive. Rooms get names anyone with a phone can read. Groups form when the evening moves as one, and stay separate when the uses differ.

Where the landscape is still open, we place a clean path back to the house. A finished patio can still be done — the route has to protect stone and plantings, and levels stay neighbor-aware. This is not a promise that every corner of a large property stays in perfect time.

How it works

01

Map the evening

Which outdoor rooms join the kitchen, and which stay quiet.

02

Place speakers and the path

Weather-rated speakers at the seating, electronics in a dry indoor spot, portable only when you carry it.

03

Walk through it

Labels, a dinner group you can turn on, and a patio you can leave quiet.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the patio play with the kitchen?

Yes, when the outdoor zone shares the household network and the path reaches the seating. It can join for dinner and drop out later — not a promise that every corner of a large property stays in time.

What goes outside permanently?

Weather-rated architectural or outdoor speakers. The Sonos Amp stays indoors; it is not weatherproof. Ordinary indoor Sonos speakers are not an outdoor install.

Is a Move the patio system?

No. A Move is portable — carry it out and bring it back. The mounted zone is the Amp plus weather-rated speakers.

Do you install and support Sonos?

Yes. We design, install and support Sonos systems, with the network planned alongside the speakers.
